The Leonberger Club of Canada has extensive health requirements and the results of that testing are provided to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. The required testing for Canadian stud dogs is outlined in detail in the Code of Ethics for Member Breeders in the LCC and includes certifications of health of hips, elbows, thyroid, CERF, cardiac, LPN1, LPN2 and LEMP. The stud dog’s registration number will provide a link to the completed health testing listing maintained by the OFA.
Where applicable the OFA Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) number is provided with a link to assist US/LCA Leonberger fanciers and breeders.
