The breeders** \u00a0listed below are current members, in good standing, with the Leonberger Club of Canada (LCC). In addition to being members of the LCC our breeders members are also members, in good standing, with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).<\/p>\n

The buyer has the responsibility to research and determine each breeder’s suitability. The LCC in no way endorses or makes recommendation of any name on this list and cannot be held responsible for the behavior of any of the breeders listed below or can the LCC be responsible for any breeding or puppies produced by the listed breeders. Furthermore, the LCC does not guarantee, warrant, or endorse, either explicitly or implied, any Leonberger breeder nor does the LCC rate Leonberger breeders, their dogs or their offspring. As a potential puppy buyer it is your sole responsibility to ask questions and engage with the Leonberger breeder. We strongly recommend you educate yourself about the Leonberger breed before contacting a breeder and purchasing a Leonberger puppy. \u00a0All Leonbergers bred within the LCC\u00a0mandate are a minimum of two years of age and have health testing available for viewing on the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) database (www.ofa.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n

In addition, all breeders of purebred dogs, should be able to provide a CKC certified pedigree for each of their breeding dogs and the puppies being produced. Breeders should be able to provide proof of any health clearances that have been completed on their dogs either by providing paper copies upon request or directing the buyer to their records on the OFA (www.ofa.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Visit the \u00a0Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA)<\/a>\u00a0where you can search the health testing for individual dogs for helpful health-related information.<\/p>\n

Our LCC breeders never engage in the breeding of mixed breed dogs, including all and every kind of Leonberger crosses. \u00a0Leonberger crosses do not conform to quality breeding ethics and LCC breeders never produce crossbred puppies.<\/p>\n
